Green World Campaign

For the past three years, BWB's Will Ruddick has been leading innovative community development projects in Kenya, including an alternative currency program in the slums of Nairobi. Will is currently the Field Director for a School Based Environmental Education and Reforestation program in Kenya that has planted thousands of trees just in the past year. BWB Peru Phase II !!

As many of you know, BWB volunteers answered the call to action in responding to the devastating earthquake that struck Peru on August 15th, 2007. At the close of our operations we welcomed over 350 volunteers and gifted over 54,000 volunteer hours. Yet the assisted formation of Pisco Sin Fronteras is beginning to prove the most substantial impact we've made so far. Protecting the Amazon by Design

Since 2010 designer Violeta Villacorta has been working with Cofán women artisans in Ecuador and with Peruvian indigenous Amazon communities through the Deep in Forests network, bridging contemporary design with their traditional arts and crafts. Seeing the importance of keeping these areas intact and its cultures thriving to protect their territories, she is collaborating with artisans by creating quality goods to promote their arts and broaden their markets to generate sustainability for their communities.
