Just days after the devastating earthquake struck Haiti, BWB was supporting successful relief efforts that made a real difference in the lives of the Haitian people. Through our partnership with European Disaster Volunteers and Communitere, BWB continues to support sustainable solutions that work.

Update February 2012-BWB Partners with Future for the Kids

On a recent trip to Port au Prince Haiti, BWB's Director, Carmen Mauk, visited the orphanage BWB has been supporting for the past two years to help develop a sustainable financial model for the future.

Through a partnership with Haitian organization, Future for the Kids, BWB is now working to secure food for an orphanage that is home for 36 children.

Due to the generosity of the BWB community, these children have been eating nutritious meals every day and we are happy to say that their health is improving considerably.

BWB is  currently seeking to partner with an  organization, church group, or  individual that would like to help support this orphanage.  If you would like to get involved, please contact carmen@burnerswithoutborders.org

If you can, please consider donating to our efforts.

Update 12/2/10-BWB Donates $3,000 for Orphanage

BWB is proud to be partnering with European Disaster Volunteers to bring much needed housing to 47 orphans in Haiti. Since the earthquake, these children have been living in  two small rooms that constantly flooded. With the acquisition of a new building and a recent donation of bunkbeds, these children will finally be able to begin to rebuild their futures.
